From our beginnings designing and constructing oil and mining camps in remote locations and sensitive ecosystems, at ETO we identified the need to implement solutions that reduce the impact of human activities on natural resources. In 2013, we formed a specialized team of engineersresulting in remarkable results.

Of our laboratory in 2019, where we incorporate advanced technologies such as nanoparticles and cavitation for the treatment of drinking water as well as domestic and industrial wastewater.

SBWB 5X

Smart Water Solution (SBWB 5X)

An advanced system for cleaning oleophilic and polymeric polyurethane resin cartridges, using nanotechnology in a mechanical and chemical process that efficiently removes hydrocarbons and other contaminants. This initiative is based on the circular economy, as the waste generated is transformed into reusable products such as asphalt slabs.

NANOPET

A nanotechnological compound for the sustainable extraction of bitumen from oil sands. Certified tests show a 50% reduction in water consumption and a 30% reduction in operating costs by eliminating diluents and solvents.

Replacement of inorganic coagulants with natural coagulants

Development of a cost-effective, low-emission technology that enables the recovery of aluminum from the sludge generated during wate water treatment process, facilitating its reuse and self-supply.

Total removal of contaminants in camp wastewater, where conventional coagulants are replaced by our innovative nanotechnological coagulant.

BSE

BIO-Waste Energy (BSE):

A comprehensive and innovative system for the sustainable management of local waste, integrating advanced technologies such as coagulant-flocculant separation, biomethane production, and the generation of high-value agro-industrial supplies. The system’s flexibility allows it to adapt to various types of organic matter and waste, making it highly versatile. Recognized for its groundbreaking approach, BIO-Waste Energy was awarded a contract under Ecopetrol’s open innovation initiative, aimed at solving complex technological challenges.

In 2023, Labotec® was founded

A subsidiary comanny dedicated exclusively to technological innovation in water treatment and hydrocarbon separation. With Labotec’s state-of-the-art experimental facilities, ETO can conduct comprehensive water analyses and design tailored treatment solutions that address the specific chemical compositions and unique requirements of each project.

Our advances have been recognized in the industrial sector and in the academic community, consolidating ETO and Labotec as a reference in water treatment and sustainability in Colombia.
